【今公演の見どころ】
狂言で非常に重い習いとされる大曲「木六駄」（きろくだ）を、善竹忠一郎が勤めます。厳冬の大雪の中、１２頭の牛を引き連れて、峠越えのお使いを言いつけられた太郎冠者の奮闘の模様を、厳しい表現の中にあたたかみある「笑い」で描いた名曲です。
１２頭の牛をそれぞれ引き連れる様子を鞭一本で表現するところが、大変に難しく見応えがあります。
他に、祝言曲で上演が非常に稀である、「雁鴈金」（がんかりがね）を善竹隆司
・隆平兄弟が初挑戦します。
また元出家の料理人と、元料理人の出家が、それぞれ料理と読経をする、入れ違
いが楽しい「惣八」を善竹忠重・善竹長徳・善竹忠亮で勤めます。
昨秋の「善竹狂言会」はおかげさまで、
平成２２年度「文化庁芸術祭賞」を受賞しました。
